Main dimensions of tankers in our catalogue
The biggest number of sea-river tankers trade within Russian inland water system. Modern units are able to trade at sea upto 100 miles from shore. Most Russian tankers of sea-river type have maximum dimensions allowing them to pass the Volga-Don canal in laden. Maximum permissible dimensions are as follows: LOA upto 141m, breadth upto 16,7m, draft in the river 3,6-4,0m.
Above named limits are defined by the dimensions of locks on the Volga river, which are 145 m long, 17.0 m wide. These locks were built within 1948-1952.
Sea-river tankers of the most modern design RST27 (RST27 type tankers) have the best deadweight/draft ratio in the river, namely 5428mt DWT on 3,6m draft. LOA X Beam 140,85m X 16,7m. Deadweight at sea is 7030mt on 4,2m draft.
